Devil’s Throat Now Open in Pittsfield

Devil’s Throat is a hand crafted goat path that pitches steeply down rock slabs, twists through the hardwoods, careens through rock gardens, and rebounds briefly onto a couple of stiff, but rideable, climbs. One local rider has described it as downhill tech style, though it is not purely a downhill trail. But it is an aptly named thrill ride. The first one to document their ride via helmet cam and sends it off to greenmountaintrails@gmail.com gets a six pack of their choice at The Original General Store in Pittsfield courtesy of Matt, the trailbuilder. The documentary must include  all riding. No, or very mimimal, hiking.
